Frequently Asked Questions
What is Small-Group-Personal-Training?
Small group personal training combines the coaching and support of 1-to-1 personal training with the motivation and community of training alongside a small group of like-minded people.
Unlike large classes where everyone does exactly the same workout, I provide individual guidance, exercise modifications and coaching throughout every session. This means you get the attention you need while benefiting from the energy and accountability of training with others.
It's the perfect balance between 1-to-1 personal training and group fitness classes.
What makes MaxFit unique?
I do things differently.
This isn't a gym full of random faces in a crowd and there isn't the inconsistency of having a different trainer every time you come in.
Everything I have built is around helping busy people become stronger, fitter and healthier that improves your real life.
Every session is programmed and coached by the same person in the room with you. Every workout has a purpose. every member is supported regardless of their starting point.
What truly sets MaxFit apart is our community. Many places say that they have a community but we genuinely want to see you succeed. It's our supportive environment of people encouraging each other, celebrating progress and enjoying training together that sets us apart.
Many members join because they want to improve their fitness - that's taken care of with my no-nonsense, real results programming.
They stay because they feel part of something special.
I have back pain, bad knees or old injuries.
Can i still join?
In most cases, Yes.
Most of us are carrying something that doesn't feel right or is limiting us one way or another - we're not in our 20's any more.
Many men and women train with previous injuries, aches or movement limitations. I include myself it that category, with over 10 years as a professional wrestler there hasn't been much on my body I haven't had to work around or rebuild.
We can discuss your situation, modify exercises where necessary and ensure you're training safely and effectively.
Am I too old to start strength training?
Absolutely not.
In fact, strength training becomes more important as we get older. Building strength helps support your joints, improve mobility, maintain muscle mass, boost confidence and make everyday life easier.
Many of our community hadn't lifted weights before and started in their 40's, 50's and beyond.

Will I be the least fit person there?
Almost everyone worries about this before they start.
The reality is that the members here all train at different levels and there is no pressure to keep up with anyone else.
My focus is on your progress, not comparison.

What if I can't do certain exercises?
That's totally expected. We all have our own starting point.
Everything I programme is for the people in the room at that time - not 50 or so people throughout the day.
Every exercise can be modified to meet you where you currently are at a confident level. You'll never perform an exercise that isn't appropriate for you.
Scale now to perform better in the future.
Will I be sore after every workout?
Most likely. But this is normal.
You may experience some muscle soreness, but never pain. The goal isn't to leave you unable to move for three days.
It's all about helping you build your fitness and strength consistently, not destroying your plans for the next three days.
Can I lose weight at MaxFit?
Yes.
Many members join initially to lose body fat, improve how they look and feel more confident.
Alongside training, I'll support you build sustainable habits that support long-term results rather than quick fixes.

How often should I train?
As a coach, I recommend 3-5 sessions week for quicker results.
However, I completely understand that everyone's schedule and commitments may limit this.
Most members commit to 3 sessions a week and see good results within a short period of time.
I can help you find a schedule that fits your goals, lifestyle and recovery.
What if I'm nervous about joining?
That's completely normal.
Most new members feel nervous before their first session.
It's my job to make you feel welcome, supported and comfortable from your first step though the door. You'll never be thrown in at the deep end and we have a super supportive community that understands exactly how you're feeling.
Nerves aren't always a bad thing, sometimes it means that you really want something and are ready to take that leap.
How much does it cost?
Membership options vary on how often you'd like to train.
I have listed options on the "Plans & Pricing" for you to see which option would work best for you.
